The manuscript editor opens when you select a manuscript in the Explorer. It is the writing surface for text, structure, and block-level production choices.
Move the pointer over a block to show its callout and block-action controls just above it. The controls hide while you drag to select text. Press Escape to close an open block-action menu or dismiss the controls.
Use project and book settings for defaults. Use the manuscript editor for edits and manuscript-specific decisions.
