A manuscript import can take time while the source is accepted, processed, and made available to the editor. Refresh the workspace before retrying the same import.
Check that the source file is a supported plain text or markdown file, then review the manuscript row for status changes. If the status does not change after a reasonable wait, keep the source file and note the project, book, and manuscript names for support or debugging.
